Karen Somoano Rodriguez is the Director of Operations for the Doral Automotive Group, which includes Doral Lincoln, Ford of Kendall, and Lincoln of Cutler Bay.

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Karen earned her master’s in accounting from the University of Miami and became a CPA while working at Ernst & Young. In 2009, the year she graduated college, her parents purchased Doral Lincoln. A few years later, in 2013, her father invited her to join the family business. Karen attended the NADA Dealer Academy and gained hands-on experience across every department—service, sales, and accounting—before finding her passion in internet sales. As Internet Sales Director, she built and grew that department at Doral Lincoln.

In 2019, the family expanded with the purchase of Ford of Kendall, followed by the opening of Lincoln of Cutler Bay in 2020. Karen then transitioned into her current role as Director of Operations, overseeing all three dealerships.
Community involvement is a cornerstone of the company’s culture, inspired by Karen’s mother, Liliana, who has led efforts to support organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Live Like Bella, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Lotus House, and local schools through Lincoln’s Driven to Give program.

Karen serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Miami as well as the FordDirect Board of Directors, representing both her community and the automotive industry on a national level. Karen also serves on the Lincoln Dealer Council.

Also, she launched Miami Car Mom on Instagram, where she shares car-buying tips, vehicle walkarounds, and advice tailored especially for women and moms.
