Tracy Wilson Mourning leads with love—boldly, intentionally, and with a heart tuned to service. A mother, friend, philanthropist, and mentor, she uses her gifts as a designer, broadcast journalist, motivational speaker, and writer to connect with the world through messages rooted in love, lift, and faith.
In 2002, her own life journey inspired the birth of Honey Shine, Inc., a national mentoring program devoted to helping young girls grow into emotionally intelligent, healthy, compassionate, and carefree women. Honey Shine empowers girls to honor the balance of mind, body, and soul through nurturing experiences, hands-on workshops, after-school programming, and a beloved summer camp community.
Tracy also expanded her impact by developing a program for young men, teaching them the responsibility and standard to “Treat Her Like a Lady,” even when she may not be acting like one. She believes modeling respect, leadership, and accountability for boys is essential to shaping whole and healthy communities.
As the founder and creative director of L.O.V.E. — Living On Vacation Everyday, Tracy channels her passion for beauty, joy, and intentional living into a lifestyle brand built around a simple mantra: a life lived in LOVE is a life well lived. The collection celebrates luxury resortwear and curated accessories for the home and body, inviting women to feel both at ease and elevated—wherever they are.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, with roots in South Florida and her formative years in Las Vegas, Tracy is a proud graduate of Howard University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in business. She is equally proud to be a member of the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Her commitment to community has led her to serve on numerous boards, including United Way Miami and Miami Children’s Museum. She currently serves on the boards of the Overtown Youth Center/Honey Shine, Casa Familia, and The Bass Museum. She also previously served as a Regional Judge for the White House Fellows selection process under the Obama Administration.
In 2009, Miami-Dade County honored Tracy’s unwavering advocacy with the naming of Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High Biscayne Bay Campus. The school remains one of Honey Shine’s after-school locations and a meaningful reflection of her hope that every young person will grow into a confident, contributing citizen of the world.
Tracy’s greatest joy is being “Mom” to Trey, Myka, and Alijah—her favorite people. Her prayer for them is simple: live a life of love through service to God, others, and self. She believes they will build upon her legacy while boldly creating their own.
For nearly 30 years, Tracy has used her gifts and resources to champion women, children, and marginalized communities across the diaspora. As co-founder of The Mourning Family Foundation and the Overtown Youth Center, she continues to raise awareness and create solutions for the pressing needs of young people. Her work has earned recognition around the world, honors she receives with deep gratitude, always anchoring herself in the purpose she believes she was chosen for.
Guided by a higher power and grounded in faith, Tracy walks each day with intention.
Live in Love.
